Fixtures
Prepare faucet, fixture and wet-area repair requests with NorCal Handyman. Review useful photos, access details and questions for a local estimate.
Use this collection to prepare questions about faucets, toilets, sink edges, bath joints and other fixtures around wet areas. A visible drip, loose accessory and recurring sealant gap can require different work. The goal is to describe what happens clearly before deciding that one replacement part or a new surface bead is the right repair.
Separate observations from assumptions
Record where water first appears and whether it follows normal use of a fixture. Photograph the entire area and a useful detail, including accessible model markings. Report damp cabinetry, damaged finishes or repeated earlier repairs separately. Avoid dismantling connections or forcing corroded parts to improve the photographs. Active leakage and water near electrical equipment need appropriate prompt assistance, rather than waiting for a cosmetic-maintenance appointment.
Discuss the whole repair scope
Ask whether diagnosis, compatible parts, preparation, operational checks and adjacent finish repairs are included. A toilet-seat fitting is different from an unstable toilet; resealing a joint is different from correcting movement or hidden water damage. Product instructions and the actual installation determine suitable methods and usable-again timing. Some requests need a plumber or another specialist after scope review.
Tell us whether another bathroom or water point is available, and keep details of previously fitted parts. Read the guides below, then include your city, symptom history and photos in a NorCal repair request. An estimate request does not confirm a booking.
